Full Journal pdf2000-02-23 House Journal Page 2285 HB 67 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the February21, 2000, calendar (page 2253), was read the third time: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 67(JUD) "An Act relating to release of certain persons alleged to have committed certain sexual offenses." Representative Green moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 67(JUD) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Davies and Rokeberg: Page 1, lines 8 and 9: Delete "To protect the alleged victim and the public and to reasonably assure the person's appearance, the" Insert "The" Page 1, line 11, following "victim": Insert "and the public" 2000-02-23 House Journal Page 2286 HB 67 Representative Davies moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Ogan objected and withdrew the objection. There being no further objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted. The question being: "Shall CSHB 67(JUD) am pass the House?"
